After being abused by his parents and foster parents, Joe decided he’d had enough. He “made a deal with God” that if his life wasn’t better by a certain day, he was going to “call it quits.” That day came and it was the worst day of his life. So he tried to end his life and ended up in a hospital. It was there that a copy of God’s Word from The Gideons ended up in Joe’s hands.
