No Regrets
We recently received this testimony from someone who follows us on Facebook:
On March 26, 1975, I gave every part of my being, heart, mind, and soul to Jesus Christ as my Savior. I never even had a second thought about it.
I did not come from a practicing Christian family. However, I had been reading the Bible for years . . . searching. At college, I was given the New Testament.
I was saved in part because of a faithful Gideon who gave me a pocket New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs, along with Romans 10:9-10, while I was in college:
“ . . . because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.”
One day, I was reading from that New Testament. I found the back page with the Scripture and the place to sign. I pondered and pondered until my pondering was solved—I realized I was no longer reading the Bible to find the truth, but I had found the Truth, and I had believed.
So that day, I made my commitment to Jesus Christ. I love Him so much. Though I don’t know that Gideon’s name, I pray for him every day.
I absolutely love God’s Word, the Bible, and I love and adore Jesus Christ, my blessed, blessed Savior.
