Gideons Present Commemorative Scripture To President Of Malawi

Gideons in Malawi presented a 2 Billionth Commemorative Bible to Arthur Peter Mutharika, President of Malawi. This is one of many special presentations of God’s Word that Gideons are scheduling with leaders throughout the world in commemoration of the recent distribution of our 2 billionth Scripture.

On the official Facebook page for Mr. Mutharika, the leader wrote:

“Today, July 17, 2015, Gideons International Malawi presented to me a dignitary Bible as a symbol of divine authority and dignity."

I thank members of this ministry for taking their time to visit me here at Sanjika Palace.

The importance of the Bible cannot be underestimated as it is a pillar behind anybody’s success. For me to lead the country better, I need wisdom and the Bible will help me to lead our country better with all of Gods guidance.

More than 9 million Scriptures have been placed and distributed in Malawi by The Gideons International since organizing there in 1969. Gideons currently are organized in 200 countries, territories, and possessions, placing approximately 1.6 million New Testaments and Bibles each week.
