Cash & Monthly Gifts

A one-time gift of cash or monthly recurring donation can be made online with a credit card or bank ACH draft. Other giving options include mailing a check or calling to make a gift over the phone. Cash gifts will be used immediately to support the work of The Gideons International.

GideonCard

The GideonCard Bible Program is a giving opportunity that provides Scriptures to be shared by Gideon members around the world. Donations are made in memory of a loved one or in honor of someone you want to encourage or celebrate. A GideonCard can be sent to the individual or family, recognizing that the gift will result in God’s Word being shared.

Birthday for Jesus

Birthday for Jesus is an easy and fun way to celebrate the true reason for the Christmas season—Jesus’ birth. This annual giving tradition allows churches and families to provide God’s Word, a blessing greater than only exchanging earthly gifts.

Bequests: Wills & Trust

Designating The Gideons International in your will or trust allows you to make a lasting impact on the world after your passing. This giving method does not affect your cash flow during your lifetime and can be updated as your situation changes. Bequests can be directed to supporting the overall ministry or more specifically defined.

Gifts of appreciated stocks & securities can provide strategic advantages that allow for even greater levels of generosity. Appreciated assets can avoid capital gains taxes in addition to income tax deductions.

Retirement Plans

Members and donors, age 70 ½ and older, can make contributions as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from their Individual Retirement Plan, meeting Required Minimum Distributions (RMD) for those age 73 or older.

Many types of property can be considered for a donation that would benefit the mission of The Gideons International. Contributions of residential and commercial real estate, business interests, commodities, oil and gas interests, vehicles, and other appreciated assets can further God’s work.

Church Offerings

The Gideons International partners with evangelical or Protestant churches worldwide. Gideon members make church presentations to provide ministry updates on lives being changed, request prayer, and receive funding to spread the Gospel. For those who are unable to donate during the church service, they can give online to provide Scriptures that will be shared by Gideon members.

Planned Giving Strategies

After-lifetime and dual benefit gifts can be wise methods to support The Gideons International and accomplish other planning goals such as providing consistent lifetime income or protecting assets. Charitable Gift Annuities, Donor Advised Funds, Life Insurance, Charitable Remainer Unitrusts, Charitable Annuity Trusts, Charitable Lead Trust, or Retained Life Estate provide potential opportunities that may align with a donor’s overall financial and generosity plans.
