Our Unique Approach
The Gideons International is an association of Christian business and professional men, along with their wives, who are committed to seeing lives transformed through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Our purpose is to equip members to share the Good News through strengthening one another, spreading the Gospel message, and sharing God’s Word.
While many know us for placing Bibles in hotel rooms, Scripture outreach is just one part of how we help members carry out their calling. We strategically place and provide copies of God’s Word in places where people are often looking for hope—not as a standalone ministry, but as a tool to support our greater mission of winning others for Jesus Christ.
We believe that when people are introduced to God’s Word, it can plant seeds that the Lord will grow in His perfect timing (1 Corinthians 3:6). It allows many to encounter truth for themselves (John 8:32), offers a lasting witness (Hebrews 4:12), and equips others to share the Gospel boldly (2 Timothy 2:2).

Members of The Gideons place complimentary copies of God’s Word in hotels, hospitals, shelters, and other places where people often seek hope. Contact us to request a Scripture placement by our members at your facility.
Reach People with the Gospel as a Friend
Friends of The Gideons support the ministry of Gideons worldwide through prayer and financial support. Friends also have access to pocket-sized Scriptures and other resources to strengthen their witnessing skills.
