Divine Appointment... in a Paint Store!

A Gideon named Jerry ran to the paint store in what he thought would be a quick errand. But God had another mission for him . . .

When Jerry walked in, Ryan immediately greeted him. In the spark of a moment, Jerry suddenly realized this wasn’t a simple trip to purchase a can of paint.

“The Holy Spirit nudged me,” Jerry recalls. “It was as if He said, ‘Yes, it’s a Saturday afternoon. Yes, paint stores are usually busy. But I cleared the way, so you’d have Ryan’s undivided attention.”’

Because of your support, Jerry was trained and prepared to share the Gospel. He had a copy of the New Testament with him and he gave it to Ryan as a thank-you for helping him.

Ryan was thankful for the “gift”—but he was even more grateful for the connection with Jerry. And as they talked, Ryan admitted that he believed what he wants to believe. But as Jerry told him more about eternity . . . Ryan began to truly feel the weight of sin and uncertainty upon him.

Ryan accepted Jesus as his Savior right then! To God be the glory!
