Megan* walked into a local pregnancy resource center carrying more fear than she thought she could bear. She was unsure of what lay ahead and overwhelmed by what the future might hold.
GOD'S WORD SPEAKS WHERE OUR WORDS FALL SHORT
Katherine, an Auxiliary member (wife of a Gideon) serving that day, stepped our of her comfort zone to meet with Megan. Though counseling was not her natural strength, Katherine knew the power of God's Word could speak when her own words felt inadequate.
At first, the conversation felt difficult. Megan was polite bur distant, weighed down by fear and confusion. Then Katherine reached for a small New Testament and asked her to read the verses in the back. Quietly, the girl began: "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son …"
A SMALL NEW TESTAMENT. A BIG CHANGE.
Verse after verse poured over her, each one planting seeds of truth and hope. For the first time, Megan began to see that she was loved—that God Himself offered comfort, forgiveness, and a new beginning.
When she finished reading, Megan looked up and said softly, "I want this."
That day, the Spirit of God met a fearful heart and replaced despair with peace. As God's Word is placed in trembling hands and a word of testimony is shared, He does an eternal work. Fear gives way to faith. Confusion gives way to comfort. And one more life is impacted by the Gospel of hope.
