Friends of Gideons
“The value of being a Friend is partnering in soul winning locally and around the world,” says Leanne who joined Friends of Gideons. “The Gideons International is the one organization that is focused on reaching nearly every corner of the globe with one common goal, to share the Gospel.”
You, too, can become a Friend of The Gideons. As a Friend, you’ll have opportunities to pray for The Gideons and offer financial support. You’ll also receive access to pocket-size New Testaments and witnessing resources to strengthen your own evangelism efforts. Friends are also eligible to attend select Gideon events. GideonCard Bible Program
When Heidi learned her attorney had lost a loved one, she wanted to offer comfort in a meaningful way. “I only had $5,” she says. Heidi sent a GideonCard. “It allowed me to send one Bible and a personal message.” Later, her attorney shared that his uncle who passed was a Gideon, and the card reminded him of a spiritual legacy that had shaped his own life.
Ordinary greeting cards simply share encouragement with the recipient—but a GideonCard also shares hope with someone else by providing a copy of God’s Word somewhere in the world.

Ways Churches Can Partner
Every year, tens of thousands of churches worldwide multiply their impact for the Gospel by partnering with The Gideons—at no cost to the church.
One such church is Faith Community Church in Palmdale, California. Their pastor, Caleb, says partnership in the Gospel means working alongside people who are equipped and committed to sharing God’s Word. “My desire as a pastor is to see people trained, mobilized, and held accountable. That’s what I love about The Gideons—they do all these things well.”
The Life Book
Lina, a high school student in New York, received 30 copies of The Life Book to share with her friends at school. At first, she felt shy and a little scared about handing them out. But as she prayed and trusted God, her confidence grew. With the Lord’s help, she was able to give out every copy. Through her obedience, twelve students gave their hearts to Jesus Christ.

Conversations: Personal Evangelism Training
An elderly lady was praying for her nephew’s salvation. She wasn’t comfortable enough to share the Gospel with him. Then she attended a Conversations training led by The Gideons at Piney Grove First Congregational Methodist Church in Lawrence County, Alabama. After the training, God used her to lead her nephew to a saving knowledge of Jesus.
The free Conversations workshop equips believers with tools and frameworks to confidently share their faith in everyday settings—from workplaces to neighborhoods and beyond.
Scriptures for VBS and More
Partnering churches can request for Gideons to distribute New Testaments to students (grades 5–6) during VBS and other educational youth events. The Gideons also welcome opportunities to distribute Scriptures during church-sponsored community outreaches.
At free food distributions hosted by Bethany Church in Liberty Township Ohio, church volunteers distribute food items. Meanwhile, Gideons from the Butler County South camp of Ohio are on hand to share New Testaments and the hope of the Gospel with those willing to receive them. Since Bethany Church and Gideons began partnering in this outreach, back in March 2023, Gideons have recorded over 100 professions of faith through their engagement.
GideonCard Displays
Your church can host a display featuring GideonCards, allowing members to give in honor or memory of loved ones while sharing God’s Word worldwide.
