Rain Turns to Opportunity for Witness

When a rain shower sent Lidiet under the cover of a bus stop in Costa Rica, she met a Gideon named Bildad. Waiting out the showers, Bildad felt compelled to share his testimony and how the Gospel had changed his life.

He talked with her briefly, then took the opportunity to share the Gospel with her and offer her a Testament.

Lidiet accepted it, but she hid the Testament under her mattress and sometimes read it secretly at night.

Soon after, Lidiet was invited to attend a concert where the crowds were singing praises to Jesus. She felt so out of place. Lidiet didn’t understand the joy. But then she remembered the conversation with Bildad—she remembered the words he shared about Jesus and the Gospel.

That night, Lidiet prayed to receive Jesus and joy in Christ filled her. Today, she treasures the New Testament she received from Bildad, and thanks God that he was faithful in his witness of the Gospel!
